The joy of the tortilla wrap is not to be underestimated when it comes to feeding kids. Sweet potatoes make a satisfying and cheap alternative to chicken. Simply stick everything on the table and let them help themselves, then enjoy a liberal helping of cheese and sour cream.

we are not in any way vegetarian and we don't deliberately make meals that are vegetarian, we just eat what we fancy and then realise after eating it that it didn't happen to have meat in it. Anyway, family favourites are:

Egg curry
Macaroni cheese
Ratatouille and rice
Cheese soufflé
Frittata
Aubergine parmigiana
Stuffed peppers
Vegetable crumble
Mushroom stroganoff
Egg Florentine
Pasta with spinach and cream cheese sauce
Pasta and pesto
