Paprika lamb burgers with aïoli

A simple burger is all you need for a casual meal with friends in the summer months

Method

  1. Put the first six ingredients, except the onion slices, in a bowl with lots of seasoning. Mix together with your hands, then form into four burgers. Mix the mayo with the garlic to make aïoli. Fry the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through but juicy.
  2. Layer the rolls with lettuce, burgers, onion slices and tomato and a big dollop of aïoli.

    Great recipe - just the right about of spice. Didn't need any egg as I liquidised the ingredients before adding to the lamb, so the burgers came together really well.

    Simple tasty recipe - I toasted the bread buns under the grill first, and served the burgers with chips.

    Just made these for my family. They loved it! I added crushed garlic and cayenne instead of paprika (as I didn't have any) to the mince mix. Quite chilli flakes and it was a hit :) I'm having a few people round this weekend and I know they will appreciate these as nibbles :)

  • 1 red onion , ½ grated, ½ sliced
  • ½ small bunch parsley , chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • pinch dried chilli flakes (optional)
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ garlic clove , crushed
  • 4 crusty rolls
  • 1 beef tomato , sliced
  • Little Gem lettuce leaves, to serve
