Pork chops with cider, cream & spinach

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan, season the chops then fry until browned. Remove, add the onion and cook for about 10 minutes until soft and caramelised. Add the cider, bring to a bubble and reduce a little. Add the cream and mustard, stir, bring to a simmer then put the chops back in and cook for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
2. Meanwhile, cook the spinach in a large pan or wok with a knob of butter and some seasoning until wilted. Serve the chops and sauce with the spinach.

  Quick and easy and very flavoursome. The cider tastes fantastic with the pork. I used steamed cabbage instead of spinach because that's what I had in the fridge, and it went really well! Will be making again!

  Feeding a family of 10 can prove tricky at the best of times, but this dish went down really well with clean empty plates all round!

  Made this at the weekend using pork fillet as opposed to a chop. It worked out just as well. Tasted really yummy, will definately make again!

  Very nice and quick the only thing i would change I would reduce the amount of onions to half or use shallots for a milder flavor. Great dish

  I will be making this for my boyfriends birthday - 26th Nov - He loves Pork chops and this is such a great way to cook it. Plus he loves Spinach so i think I'm on to a winner already. Ive also been thinking of adding some mashed potato, so i think i will do what Fusion did and use Sweet potato, and a couple of corn on the cobb. Yumbo. I will be back to let you know how it went.

  Quick and easy to make. Really yummy. I served it with a half potato and half sweet potato mash. Would use less onion next time though .

  Good overall ! Found the whole grain mustard a little too sharp with the cider ! Served with mashed potatoes and leeks, will serve again
