Light tasty dressing for salads

  • 1 tbsp French mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 6 tbsp sunflower oil or rapeseed oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Put the mustard, honey, garlic, balsamic and cider vinegar in a food processor and whiz together.

  2. With the motor still running, pour the oil in through a funnel.

  3. Season with salt and pepper and serve. Another option would be to put all the ingredients into a jar and shake hard! (with the lid on, obviously)

Very nice dressing and easy to make but would recommend using a small clove of garlic. It went really well with pork steaks, crushed new potatoes and salad.

This is a really good salad dressing, thanks for sharing the recipe. I left out the oil and it still tastes as good.

Very nice. Quantities work well. I did use wholegrain and a little Dijon instead of french mustard.

I love love love this dressing, left out the garlic because I'm not keen but it's perfect. Made up a big jar to keep in the fridge.
