Delicious American style pancakes without the milk

Dry ingredients

  • 135g Plain Flour
  • 90g Caster Sugar
  • 2tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2tsp Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 250ml Milk Substitute (we like almond)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2tsp Vanilla Extract


  1. Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl mix all of the wet ingredients together.

  3. Slowly beat the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until you form a smooth batter (although don’t worry if there are some lumps).

  4. Spoon about half a ladle of the mixture into a lightly oiled frying pan. Flip when bubbles appear on the top of the mixture and then cook for about a minute on the other side.
