Ingredients
- 350g plain flour
- 1 egg
- 300 ml milk
- 2 tbls caster suger
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 2 tbls of golden syrup
- good pinch of salt
- good handful of sultanas (optional)
- oil to cook
Method
- STEP 1add all dry ingredients together in a large bowl
- STEP 2add the milk egg and golden syrup then whisk for 2 mins
- STEP 3add and gently fold in the sultanas (optional) and leave to stand for 10 mins
- STEP 4when mixture has increased in size use large dessert spoon as a measure.. cook on a skillet or shallow frying pan for aprox 1-2 mins each side
