  • 3 lemons
  • 24 fresh bay leaves
  • 12 slices prosciutto halved crossways
  • 6 thick slices coarse textured bread
  • 4 thick fillet steaks (it works with other fairly tender steaks too)
  • olive oil
  • handful sage & thyme finely chopped


    1. Heat oven to 220/fan 200
    2. Thread ingredients onto 12 skewers
    3. Put on baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with herbs
    4. Roast for 5 minutes then turn and roast for a furthur 3 minutes until the bread is crisp and steak cooked
