Preheat oven to 205°C

In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour, corn meal, salt, and baking powder.

In a separate, larger bowl blend the butter and the sugar together until fluffy with a hand mixer. Beat in one egg at a time until well-incorporated and then add the vanilla.
- STEP 4
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the milk in thirds. Once the ingredients are mixed, pour into a greased baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a fork comes out of the centre clean.
