Spread the mince in a large mixing bowl using your fist until about a centimeter thick.

add the garlic, cumin and chilli powder

Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle on the Oxo cube.

add the egg and mix together well, using your hands

Let the mixture chill for an hour in the fridge, then shape into balls and flatten to make the burger shape.

Sear both sides in a hot frying pan (no oil or fat), then finish the burgers off in the oven (gas mark 6/180c) for 5 minutes (rare), 10 Minutes (medium) 15 minutes (well done).
Serve in the bun with cheese, sauces, or relish.
