Ingredients
- 500g lean mince (butcher's)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp mild chilli powder
- 1 beef Oxo cube
- 1 egg

- Bread cakes/cobs
- Cheese if wanting cheeseburger
- sauce/mustard as required to serve
Method
- STEP 1Spread the mince in a large mixing bowl using your fist until about a centimeter thick.
- STEP 2add the garlic, cumin and chilli powder
- STEP 3Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle on the Oxo cube.
- STEP 4add the egg and mix together well, using your hands
- STEP 5Let the mixture chill for an hour in the fridge, then shape into balls and flatten to make the burger shape.
- STEP 6Sear both sides in a hot frying pan (no oil or fat), then finish the burgers off in the oven (gas mark 6/180c) for 5 minutes (rare), 10 Minutes (medium) 15 minutes (well done). Serve in the bun with cheese, sauces, or relish. Enjoy x
