- 500g Boneless Chicken
- 150g White Onion
- 1tsp Crushed Garlic
- 1/2tsp Crushed Ginger
- 3-4 Fresh Green Chillies
- 200g Red Tomatoes
- 2tsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2tsp Butter
- 1/4-1/2tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Fresh Green Capsicum
- 1/2tsp Whole Cumin
- 2 Black Cardamom
For Garnishing:
- Fresh Coriander Leaves,sliced red onions and lemon wedges
Method
step 1
Finely chop onions and green chillies in a food processor. Cut red tomatoes & capsicum into bite size piecesstep 2
Heat vegetable oil and butter in a pan. Add the garlic and saute till brown.Then add onion and chilli mix.Saute till leafystep 3
Add whole cumin, black cardamom, tomatoes and chilli powder. Cover and cook on low heat until tomatoes are softstep 4
Add turmeric powder and salt. Now cover and cook on low heat until you see clear oil at the marginsstep 5
Lightly fry chicken in a separate pan and add this to the above mixturestep 6
Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add capsicum and fresh tomatoes and green chillies. Add lemon juice and mix. Stir well and sprinkle Garam Masala powder.step 7
Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leavesstep 8
Now serve hot with finely sliced red onion and lemon wedgesstep 9
You can eat Murg Bejor with Rice or Naan
