Ingredients

  • 500g Boneless Chicken
  • 150g White Onion
  • 1tsp Crushed Garlic
  • 1/2tsp Crushed Ginger
  • 3-4 Fresh Green Chillies
  • 200g Red Tomatoes
  • 2tsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2tsp Butter
  • 1/4-1/2tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Fresh Green Capsicum
  • 1/2tsp Whole Cumin
  • 2 Black Cardamom

For Garnishing:

  • Fresh Coriander Leaves,sliced red onions and lemon wedges

Method

  • STEP 1
    Finely chop onions and green chillies in a food processor. Cut red tomatoes & capsicum into bite size pieces
  • STEP 2
    Heat vegetable oil and butter in a pan. Add the garlic and saute till brown.Then add onion and chilli mix.Saute till leafy
  • STEP 3
    Add whole cumin, black cardamom, tomatoes and chilli powder. Cover and cook on low heat until tomatoes are soft
  • STEP 4
    Add turmeric powder and salt. Now cover and cook on low heat until you see clear oil at the margins
  • STEP 5
    Lightly fry chicken in a separate pan and add this to the above mixture
  • STEP 6
    Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add capsicum and fresh tomatoes and green chillies. Add lemon juice and mix. Stir well and sprinkle Garam Masala powder.
  • STEP 7
    Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • STEP 8
    Now serve hot with finely sliced red onion and lemon wedges
  • STEP 9
    You can eat Murg Bejor with Rice or Naan
