A look at the new Weber Lumin electric barbecue range

The Lumin range comprises a full-sized barbecue, and a smaller compact sibling. Both have the same features available, including the capability to smoke, steam, sear and grill food. The compact version is, as you might guess, a smaller version of this electric barbecue and well suited if you’re limited on outdoor space.

Central to the range is the classic full-sized Lumin electric barbecue. This model has a footprint of 1,562 cm², so will fit in most small gardens. The barbecue is designed with versatility in mind, so you can cook with a wide range of techniques. Whether you’re cooking meat or vegetables, barbecuing is often all about the sear. The full-sized Lumin reaches temperatures of more than 315C, perfect for achieving a sizzling sear. There are also settings for steaming and smoking, plus a handy ‘keep food warm’ function.

This foldable stand works really well if you want your barbecue to be free-standing or have its own dedicated space. Standing at 94cm with the barbecue on top, the stand has a shelf plus built-in hooks. The Lumin barbecue can be made even more versatile with different accessories.
