Method

  1. In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic and chilli flakes. Cook until just pale golden, then add the tomatoes. Cook 3 mins more on a high heat until the tomatoes start to break down a little. Add the lemon juice and cook for 1-2 mins. Remove from the heat and stir in the crab to warm through – not too much or it will break up.

  2. Boil the pasta in a large pan of salted water following pack instructions then drain. Mix the pasta in the warm pot with the sauce, lemon zest and capers, and toss the basil through.

This is lovely - the garlic and chilli give it a real depth of flavour. I didn't have any basil but I did have a bag of rocket to use up so I just put a huge pile of that on instead and it was fabulous. I was only making it for two (the recipe states three) and inadvertently put in the whole lemon juice which I would be sure not to do next time, but it wasn't offensive. The zest was perfect. Quick, easy, healthy - will def do again.

This was a really quick, really tasty, healthy tea - my only quibble is that with the cherry tomatos and the crab it's so so so sweet, which isn't really to my taste, but it was still very enjoyable - the kids loved it

Tried this yesterday evening and really loved it! Excellent delicate flavours although did not use too much lemon juice. Also added a few prawns for extra depth.

Made this - as far as I can remember minus the lemon, and with fines herbes rather than basil - and it was absolutely delicious! So good its on the menu tonight as well!

This dish weould have been nice if it wasn't for the overpowering lemon taste. Would probably only use the use of the lemon and not the zest.
