  1. Heat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 6 and line the base of a 20cm square shallow baking tin with baking parchment. Melt 100g dark chocolate, all of the milk chocolate and the butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Remove from the heat, then stir in the sugars. Cool a little while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

  2. Stir the eggs into the chocolate mixture, followed by the flour, walnuts and a pinch of salt until really well combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin, then bake for 25-30 mins until an inserted skewer comes out with sticky crumbs. Cool in the tin.

  3. For the dip, gently melt the remaining chocolate as above, then stir into the yogurt and chill. To serve, cut the brownies into chunks, then spoon the dip into small bowls.

Hmmm to me these were more like cakes rather than brownies. I use the creme egg brownie recipe which is DELICIOUS! The dip seemed to split for me and tasted way to bitter as the brownies are not overly sweet. Not a recipe I’ll make again I’m afraid

Made the brownies but not the dip as thought it would be a bit too much, loved the brownies really taste and the nuts make it. My first attempt at making brownies and found it very easily and quick to make, definatly would have again and would recommend. :)

Good easy quality, I added a little of my own touch of maltese and hazelnut as well :) with icing on top :)

I made a batch of these over weekend, texture was great however they didn't taste very chocolaty! which was a shame, also the dip is far too tangy. Loose the dip and increase the the chocolate quantity and you should see a 5 star product.

This is easily my favourite brownie recipe - it makes the most delicious, rich, gooey brownies ever. I often substitute a 100g block of white chocolate, roughly chopped, for the nuts instead for triple chocolate brownies. I either cut into 16, for larger portions, or 25 or even 36 for nibble type one. I haven't made the dipping sauce because I think it's overkill and I'm not sure about the yoghurt. But these are great with ice-cream or just on their own.

I made this recipe and found it really easy. They were really delicious and went down well with everyone. I cut them into 16 pieces rather than 8 and served them warm with icecream and hot chocolate sauce for a variation on this recipe.

These brownies look delicious, but I'm not sure about the dip. It looks like one of the cheap chocolate-flavoured yoghurts.

This brownie recipe is amazing! I added 50g each of milk and white chocolate chips and missed out the walnuts. I also used a large rectangle tin foil tray lined with baking paper. This seemed to make the brownies bake more evenly. My result was delicious, chewy choc chip brownies. I will be baking these again soon! Thanks for the recipe. X
