  • 410g can peach halves

  • 100g frozen raspberry, plus a few for garnish

  • 100ml orange juice
  • 150ml fresh custard, plus a spoonful for garnish

Method

  1. Drain and rinse peaches and place in a blender with raspberries. Add orange juice and fresh custard and whizz together.

  2. Pour over ice, garnish with another spoonful of custard and a few raspberries. Best served chilled.

Nice but quite bitter tasting and looked nothing like the picture :) mine was bright pink. I used two fresh peaches and mixed frozen red berries (£1.49 for 500g in Aldi) instead of just raspberries. Not bad though! Made two cups in total.

I made this recipe for myself and my son which we enjoyed very much for breakfast. Low in calories as stated, a quarter of a can of custard each person . I just let the raspberries defrost a little. A handy standby fruit in your freezer.

Canned peach halves and frozen raspberries? I don't even use them to make smoothies in the winter let alone in the summer when the markets are full of fresh fruit.

How can a glass of custard have 159 calories and be low fat?!

Because it's only 75ml of custard per serving. That's nothing really. Although I do prefer to replace the canned peaches with fresh and freeze fresh raspberries instead.
