An idea recipe for crumble lovers

  • 3oz soft brown sugar
  • 3oz plain flour
  • 3oz porridge oats
  • 3oz butter/marg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 lb of fruit
  • 3oz granulated suger
  • 2tbsp water


  1. Put 1 1/2lb apples, blackberries or other mixtures of fruit. Washed peeled and sliced in bottom of microwave safe crumble dish. Sprinkle on 4oz granulated sugar and 2 tbsp+water. Cook for 7mins on high.

  2. Put flour in mixing bowl with oats, caster sugar and ground ginger. Add butter/marg and rub in till it resembles. Bread crumbs.

  3. Add crumble on top of fruit and place in pre heated oven at 180°C/350°F/gas 4 for 30-40 mins until golden brown.
