Ingredients

Icing

  • 225g Butter
  • 225g Caster Sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 225g Self- Raising flour
  • 1 Orange
  • 2tbsp Coco Powder
  • Milk ( if needed)

Icing

  • Betty Crocker Vanilla Icing
  • Orange food dye
  • Purple food dye
  • Black food dye
  • 1 Orange

Method

  1. Pre- heat your oven to 180 degrees. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy. Then add the eggs and continue to stir. Now gradually stir in all the flour and continue to mix until a smooth look.

  2. Grate one orange and add a small amount of juice to the mixture. Now divide the mixture in half. In one of your bowl put in the coco powder, stir well, if you think it needs more, do so.

  3. You will need to now spoon the mixture into your cupcake cases, BUT put one teaspoon of each flavour into the case. Then top up any more remaining cases if they need more mixture. Then swirl a cocktail stick In the middle of them. This will create a marble look.

  4. Cook for 20 minutes, to check if they are done put a cocktail stick into the middle of one, if it comes out clean then they are ready!

  5. Let your cupcakes cool right down before icing. Divide the icing into 3 separate bowls, each bowl in the microwave for about 7 seconds. This will make the icing easier to drizzle. Now in one bowl put the black food dye in and stir. Then drizzle all over the cakes. Repeat with purple. But for orange, get the bowl with the icing and add half of the zest of a orange and some juice, then add the orange food dye. Drizzle over and Enjoy! Happy Halloween!
