Ingredients

  • 300g - 350g Chocolate Cake
  • 50g Soften Butter
  • 100g Icing Sugar
  • 50g Plain Chocolate
  • 250g White Chocolate (buttons or chips are good!)
  • 10 Large Marshmallows
  • Food Colouring

Equipment

  • 300g - 350g Chocolate Cake
  • 50g Soften Butter
  • 100g Icing Sugar
  • 50g Plain Chocolate
  • 250g White Chocolate (buttons or chips are good!)
  • 10 Large Marshmallows
  • Food Colouring
  • Tray lined with grease proof paper
  • 12 cocktail sticks

Method

  • STEP 1
In a food processor, crumble the chocolate cake into fine crumbs. Place in a bowl.
  • STEP 2
In another bowl cream the butter and icing sugar together. Over nearly simmering water melt the plain chocolate then add to the creamed butter. Then mix the cake crumbs (with your hands!) until it moulds together.
  • STEP 3
Weigh out 10 lots of 25g balls of the cake mixture and place on a tray lined with grease proof paper. Then place a cocktail stick in each of them. Then weigh out another 10 balls this time weighing 15g and place onto the 25g balls, piercing them through the cocktail stick. Finally use the rest of the cake mixture to make 10, 10g balls then place those, through the cocktail sticks, onto the 15g balls.
  • STEP 4
Leave to cool in the fridge for about 50mins. (Careful, then can be prone to falling over!)
  • STEP 5
Melt the white chocolate over warm water then dip each snowman in. Place back on the tray and cool again in the fridge until the chocolate has solidified.
  • STEP 6
Once out of the fridge, place a marshmallow on each of the snowmen. Then using the remanning cocktail sticks, give your snowmen a face and buttons with the food colouring!
