  • 250g white chocolate, broken into chunks
    White chocolate squares, stacked

    White chocolate

    why-t chok-lit

To purists, this is not chocolate because it is made only from the fat or butter of the cacao…

  • 150g salted pretzel
  • 50g raisin

  1. Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, set over a pan of barely simmering water, don’t allow the bowl to touch the water. Leave for a few minutes until the chocolate has melted.

  2. Open the bag of pretzels, fold it in half and cover with a tea towel. Gently smash the pretzels with a rolling pin until they’ve broken into small shards around 0.5cm in size.

  3. Pour the smashed pretzels into the melted chocolate and mix well. Stir in the raisins. Line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper. Spoon heaps of the pretzel mix onto the sheet, around 3cm across and 1cm high. Leave the bites to set in a cool place or put in the fridge until the chocolate has completely set.

These were great really easy to makes with the kids! We added dried cranberries and apricots instead of the raisans and used plain choc as kids don't like white choc!

These are fantastic - so simple and easy to make, they look great and they are incredibly moreish. Made them for hampers and will definitely make again. I used dried cranberries instead of raisins, and they work really well with the white chocolate.

Made these last night. Not only are they really simple and turn out exactly like the picture but the are just lovely. I will try the variations but at Christmas i do like the white chocolate look. Am making a big batch as token Christmas gifts for colleagues

What can I say? Yummy, different and will definitely do again. Very moreish. Made them last night - I halved the recipe - and there are only 4 pieces left. My husband keeps going back for more!! Very easy to do.
