  1. Whizz the chicken and garlic in a processor until the chicken is minced. Tip in the bacon, sundried tomatoes and basil. Pulse for 5 secs to just mix through. Season well.

  2. Roll the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut in half lengthways. Spread half the chicken mixture along the middle of one of the pastry strips, then roll up the pastry, pinching the ends together to seal. Using a sharp knife, cut into 2.5cm long pieces. Repeat with the remaining pastry strip. Can be frozen, uncooked, for up to 1 month.

  3. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Place the rolls on a large baking sheet. Brush with the egg, then sprinkle with seeds. Bake for 20 mins until golden.

Made these yesterday, and was really unsure about the tomatoes so used chargrilled peppers instead. I was really pleased with the result and will definitely make again. Next time I think I will try them with both peppers and sunblush tomatoes, or maybe with salmon, crab and anchovy??

Delicious! Even a hit with my fussy 3 year old. I froze most of them once they were well cooled. Will definitely be making again.

These are so easy and absolutely delicious! Not usually a fan of sausage rolls but these are special. Instead of sundried tomatoes I used a little tomato paste, just right.

These little summer rolls were a delight on our Good Friday "walk and picnic" with friends. I am not a big fan of sundried tomatoes so I replaced these with chargrilled red peppers in oil - irresistible!!

I used my new extremely powerful food processor and the chicken was mush in 2 seconds ! the rolls tasted like hot sawdust! Disgusting.!

Thhe first time I made these they were beautiful but perhaps a little dry. Second time I tried adding a sauce inside but the chicken still absorbed it all! was lovely though and one i will keep making forever!

Have made these again and again. The chicken should be raw. I used dried tomatoes which I can buy from my market. They are marinated with garlic and italian herbs. The family loves them and they freeze really well. I haven't got a food processor but used a blender.
