  1. Put the potato wedges into a shallow microwave-proof baking dish, then cook on High for 10 mins until almost tender all the way through (turn the wedges halfway through to ensure even cooking). Add the broccoli, re-cover and cook for another 3 mins or until the florets just give with a knife. If you don’t have a microwave, boil instead.

  2. Heat grill to medium. Mix the crème fraîche and mustard together with a little seasoning. Nestle the salmon in among the potatoes and broccoli, then spoon over the crème fraîche mix, making sure most of the broccoli is covered with sauce. Sprinkle with the cheese and grill for 5 mins until the sauce is bubbling, the tips of the potatoes are golden and the salmon is just cooked.

Brilliant meal loved the mustard in the creme fraiche great quick meal don't mind microwaving the potatoes first as I say nice quick meal will defo do again.

First off, who on this earth cooks salmon in the microwave??? I mean, we're not animals, right? So people, use the oven too cook this, that's just common sense. Also, either you're going to have to put the potatoes in the oven for about 40 min for them to be well done, or just pre-boil them and steam the broccoli above it. then put it all in one dish together with salmon and sauce, leave it in the oven for about 15-20 min, depending on how thick your salmon is. Pretty good that way. Honestly can still not believe that there are actual people who use a microwave to cook salmon...

hi there, where does say in the recipe to cook the salmon in the microwave? it get done under the grill to melt the cheese and cook the salmon and nice crispy bits on the potato wedges.

I had to substitute cauliflower for broccoli and cheddar for the parmesan. But it was absolutely delicious and my picky hubby devoured it!

Would have loved it without the mustard. I dislike the taste of it and it ruined the whole dish for me, though family liked it. I boiled the vegetables instead also due to the comment suggestions.

Why choose a recipe with mustard if you don't like it? Rather harsh to mark down the recipe just because of personal taste.

Absolutely amazing Sunday night dinner! I cooked this for my landlady and myself, and it went down a treat! Will definitely be making this again! I actually roasted the potatoes in the oven, and added the salmon 30 minutes before the roasters were done. In the final 10 minutes I added the broccoli, sauce and cheese!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

This recipe was a disaster for me. I have to agree with some of the other comments in that the microwave on full power wasn't enough for my potatoes to soften. Also, it didn't cook properly on the grill so I actually put it in the oven to cook it. The texture and the sauce was a success but unfortunately the taste wasn't. This took me ages to cook , nearly an hour and the taste was a big let down. Won't be making this again!

Has the makings of a good recipe, but isn't quite there. Doubled the sauce and was still slightly dry. Tripled the the broccoli microwave time and still raw. Microwaved potato should be done whole, so it doesn't dry out the cut sides, then cut into wedges. Ingredients are a tasty combo tho, so will try again but with adjustments.

Second time making this and I think I've finally worked it out! Parboil the potatoes and roast for 20 mins at 370, turning half way through. Steam broccoli for 3 mins and add to roast potatoes after 20 mins. Place good quality salmon fillets in amongst the veg and make sure the tray is large enough for the contents all to breathe, ie. not piled on each other as this makes the end result soggy. I reduced the amount of mustard added to creme fraiche because it was overwhelming. In this instance, less is more. Put a dollop on the salmon and the broccoli but left the potatoes to go golden. Added grated cheese ( your choice which variety and how much) after 15mins and broiled until bubbling.
