  1. Make several diagonal slashes across each chicken breast. Tip the other ingredients into a wide shallow bowl and swirl them together until everything is well mixed. Add the chicken breasts and turn them in the mixture until they are evenly coated. At this point you can cover the dish with cling film and chill the chicken for 24 hours, but it’s also fine to cook them straight away.

  2. Preheat the grill or light the BBQ. Then cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes each side, turning once and brushing or spooning over more marinade as you go, until the chicken is browned and glossy. Serve the chicken on a bed of dressed salad leaves.

This was ok, but it didn’t blow me away. The grill tray was in a horrible mess afterwards too! I won’t bother doing this again.

Delicious - tasty with a subtle, lovely sweetness. It went down a treat with hubby and son. So easy to do as well. I did let the chicken marinade for a few hours in the mixture which I think did help seal in flavours. Looking forward to making again soon.

I did this marinade for BBQ kebabs. Very yummy orange taste. Everyone liked them. Will make again. Only other point to note is that I couldn't taste any maple.

I used the marinade on pork ribs and it was gorgeous! I will definitely use it again and again.

INCREDIBLE! I did this with sweet potato wedges and left the chicken marinating for 24 hours. It was well worth it as the chicken was so juicy. I did have to cook it for a bit longer than the recipe suggested but I will be cooking this for years to come.
