Method

  1. Cook the sweet potatoes in boiling, salted water for 5-7 mins until just tender. Drain well, then set aside. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large frying pan, then add the chicken and onion. Cook for 5-6 mins until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Stir in the curry paste, cook for 1 min, add the tomatoes, then cook for another min.

  2. Pour in 100ml boiling water and mix well. Simmer for 5 mins, add the spinach, then cook for 2 mins until wilted. Fold in the potatoes and heat through. Serve with rice and naan breads.

I made this tonight and really liked it , although I changed the curry paste to madras as I don't like rogan josh, I also put in double the amount of tomatos and onions. When tasting I thought it was a little bland so I added in a touch of curry powder, garammasala, garlic and turmeric. It was amazing! Would definitely make this again and again although I would add the sweet potato a lot earlier as the sauce was quite runny even though I tried to reduce it

A nice mid-meal but that's as far as it goes. We'd eat again but it wouldn't be first on our list, scored 7.5/10

Another great recipe, I was very happy with this. I will definitely use it again. I served the meal up with rice. I don't use sweet potatoes much usually, so they always add a special touch to a meal. The spinach added to the colour of the meal too. To make the dish more suitable for young kids, I only used half as much curry paste as recommended. It did lose some taste as a result though.

Easy and tasty enough but definitely not a wow dish, I used tinned tomatoe and think the sweet potatoe is unnecessary if having with rice

This is by far my favourite curry recipe to make! I sometimes change it up a bit, I like to add coconut milk if I have it on hand and sometimes swap the spinach for kale.

made this for my tea and it was really nice and not too spicy either, i added courgette to it to make it my own, even my dad ate it and he doesn't eat/like sweet potato. Will be trying this recipe again.

This is a great recipe: easy to make and tastes authentic! I did hope that it would be quicker to make however but that was due to cooking the chicken in oil. Next time I'll cook them a little before putting them in the oil to speed it up a little.
