    We've teamed up with the inspiring Simpsons restaurant for an exclusive BBC Good Food restaurant event in August.

    Led by chef-director Luke Tipping, Simpsons has earned a reputation for offering one of the best dining experiences in Birmingham. Driven by seasonality and provenance, Luke and head chef Nathan Eades are renowned for producing outstanding flavours. The restaurant has held a Michelin star since 2000, and has undergone a transformation resulting in a modern dining space.

    Lunch will begin with champagne and canapés served in the beautiful garden (weather permitting), where you can watch the chefs cooking using Big Green Egg barbecues. You will then enjoy a delicious five-course meal in the restaurant. Dishes will be introduced by Luke and his talented team.

    Luke will also give you a preview of Simpsons’ recently launched Eureka Kitchen – a fantastic new cookery school, chef’s table, development kitchen and wine-tasting facility.

    Harrods afternoon tea, including scones, jam, cakes and tea

    The epitome of elegant dining, Harrods' Art Deco Georgian Restaurant is as much of an institution as the Knightsbridge store itself. Upon arriving at one of London's finest destinations for afternoon tea, readers will experience the epitome of elegant dining and classic English fare.

    The tea offers guests a refreshing flute of Harrods rosé champagne and a selection of finger sandwiches. These are served alongside a colourful array of freshly prepared tea pastries from the Harrods patisserie, all crafted by in-house chefs as well as warm home-baked scones served with clotted cream, strawberry jam, rose-petal jelly and homemade lemon curd. This is complemented with a trifle and your choice of Harrods' fine tea. 

    Following afternoon tea, readers will have an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Georgian kitchens and get a chance to meet the skilled chefs.

    Join us for dinner at Ormer in London's Mayfair

    We've teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin to plan a special tasting menu at his restaurant Ormer in Mayfair. 

    The menu is impeccably paired with wines by the restaurant's award-winning sommelier, Andreas Rosendal. Bringing the shores of Jersey to the heart of London, Rankin will showcase the very best in seasonal, sustainably sourced and locally foraged produce. What better way to enjoy Rankin's cooking than in the restaurant's unique private dining room (seats 20) with its understated glamour and elegant artwork. 

    Starting with an elite tasting by Champagne Devaux, the restuarant's house champagne, Rankin will also reveal a few extra surprises to guarantee a truly unforgettable experience showcasing the best of British and Jersey fare.
