Ingredients

For the toppings

  • multi-coloured sprinkles
  • freeze-dried raspberries
  • pink meringues, crushed
  • strawberry lace sweets

Method

  • STEP 1

    Gently heat the marshmallows and butter in a medium sized saucepan over a low heat, stirring until melted.

  • STEP 2

    Remove the stalks from the apples and push a wooden lolly stick deeply into them, making sure not to go all the way through. Tip the toppings into separate small bowls.

  • STEP 3

    Working one at a time, dip the apples into the melted marshmallow, swirling until evenly coated. Quickly decorate by rolling in sprinkles, freeze-dried raspberries, or wrapping with one or two strawberry laces. Place on baking parchment and chill until set.
