  • 100g light muscovado sugar
  • 6 tbsp port


  1. Squeeze 1 clementine and put the juice in a pan with the cranberries, sugar and port. Cook for 5 mins until the cranberries start to soften and burst. Tear the other clementine into segments (remove the membrane if you have time) and cook along with the cranberries for 2 mins more. Store in fridge, or freezer for up to 2 months.

This is by far the best recipe for Cranberry Sauce I've ever made. Because of the ingredients I did not limit it to having it with meats etc so I added it as a sauce to accompany desserts and it is divine over ice-cream!! Additionally you may have heard of chilli chocolate, just add a little chilli powder whilst cooking the sauce to give it a hint of a kick, again lovely with meats and desserts alike!!

The recipe says you can keep this in the freezer for 2 months but long can you keep this in the fridge?

Really great, finished the first batch up, it's been used on leftover ham, pate etc and going to make a second batch now. I love this as I'm allergic to oranges but not clementines, never thought I could eat cranberry sauce until I saw this recipe!

this is simple but oh so lovely. Ive made several jars (and of course one for me) while the cranberries were on special offer. I am going to give these as presents on christmas eve, decorated with dried orange and cinnamon sticks :-)

I have tried all sorts of variations of cranberry sauce and this is my absolute favourite not too sweet also makes a lovely accompaniment to chicken liver pate
