Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method

  • STEP 1
    Preheat the oven to 170C/fan 150C/gas 5.
  • STEP 2
    Whisk together the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs and vanilla and mix.
  • STEP 3
    Blend in flour, baking powder and salt, then stir in the chocolate chips and toffee bits.
  • STEP 4
    Spread the batter into a 5cm deep, 15cm wide pan and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • STEP 5
    Remove, cool on wire rack and cut into squares.
