Method

  1. Boil a large pan of water for the corn. Make a sauce by mixing the ketchup, sugar and vinegar with half the paprika. Heat a non-stick frying pan, then brown the pork for 3-4 mins on each side. Spoon over the sauce halfway through cooking and turn the steaks in it until the pork is cooked through and sticky.
  2. Meanwhile, tip the corn into the boiling water and cook for 5-8 mins until tender. Stir the remaining paprika into the butter in a heatproof bowl and microwave on High for 15-20 secs until the paprika is sizzling in the melted butter (alternatively, just melt the smoky butter in a small pan). Drain the corn, brush over the butter, then serve with the sticky pork steaks and a green salad.
Try

TIP

The barbecue the corn instead of boiling it, wrap each cob in a little tin foil and berbecue for 10-15 mins, turning until tender.

Followed the recipe exactly and was gorgeous. Kids loved it. Have also tried it with chicken and it works just as well.

This is delicious and super easy to prepare. I used frozen kernel corn instead of corn on the cob as that is what I had on hand. I will definitely make this again!

Very easy to do. Ideal midweek dinner. I followed recipe exactly and it came out well. very versatile, can be done with chicken or Pork and goes well with most veg. I served with mash and green beans and sweetcorn as that is what I had. The sauce is just items that I have in my cupboard all the time anyway.

We had this yesterday evening for dinner. Very tasty and quick to do when returning from work. I served the pork with mash and peas. As we like plenty of sauce, I doubled up the sauce ingredients. Recommended!

I'd make it with a lot less sugar next time, I found it too sweet. Otherwise very easy and only uses storecupboard ingredients so can be done at a moments notice.

simple and tasty. i worried about it being too sweet after zoe's comment so reduced the sugar a little. i particularly liked the idea of brushing the corn cobs with the paprika butter. that was a nice touch!

Delicious and easy to make. This has become one of my favourite mid-week dinners. We love it with creamy mashed potatoes to soak up the sticky bbq sauce and if sweet corn is not in season, I serve it with tinned sweetcorn. Highly recommended.

omg!! this was heavenly! I added a splash of Jack Daniels bourbon to the sauce and would use smoked paprika instead of paprika next time. when realising the sauce was drying up I added a splash of water and the sauce was lovely. My husband loved it and it would make an excellent BBQ marinade.

This sauce was so quick, easy, cheap and delicious, I will never buy a bottle of barbecue sauce again. I made it as per the recipe, but I imagine it would work well with the addition of chilli sauce if you wanted to spice it up a bit. Can't wait t try it on chicken,
