This was delicious but did sink in the middle. Recipe didnt specify how much baking powder to use so I used 1tsp ..maybe thats why it sunk??

gorgeous - perfect served warm with double cream and raspberries. We reheated it in the microwave and it went all gooey again - yum! I used 1 heaped tsp of baking powder but might try less next time as it overflowed the tin at the edges. I used half and half plain and milk chocolate. I think it's meant to be gooey and flatter in the middle, it was still a bit wobbly when it came out, but a skewer came out slightly sticky rather than with raw mixture on it (I googled for other recipes to work out this way of checking). super for a relatively easy dinner party pud that can be made in advance, I will definitely make this again.

I made this cake after craving chocolate and it was great!!! However, when I took it out of the oven the inner part of the cake fell through leaving the sides in tact :o( Why? ...Nevertheless, it was yummy!

I'm always hesitant & anxious to try new cake recipes but I'm so glad I tried this one. It is delicious, quite easy to make, even my brother in law who never comments opened his mouth and said it was incredible! Try it, you won't be sorry. One thing I did do though was turn it upside down when it cooled and sprinkled a tiny bit of icing sugar just for decoration.

This is a real winner! Very economical comparedto lots of brownie recipes, but every bit as chocolatey, if not more so. I first made this for Christmas dinner as I don't like Christmas pud, so I got a few envious glances from my sisters (who do), and they found room for a slice in addition! I have since made it several times, most recently as an Easter cake decorated with mini eggs. (You have to put them on when it is warm so they stick...)

About the baking powder issue.... I printed off this recipe in December, and after reading your comments about the lack of specificity in the baking powder department, I went home and looked at my print-out. It definitely says 1/2 tsp baking powder. The online recipe must have got corrupted somehow since then. Hope this clarifies!

I used 1/2 tsp of baking powder and it sank a little but not much and I think that is just because they are lovely and moist on the inside! Everyone really enjoyed them.

Wow, this was amazing! Have made it twice, the second time in a square tin, and cut into traditional brownies. I used half milk and half plain lindt chocolate, and they tasted devine. I had to guess at the baking powder too, and went for 3/4 tsp. I topped them with blueberries cut in half and dusted with icing sugar for a spectacular desert.

this must be the best brownie recipe.....easy to follow recipe with fantastic results...i made three batches of these for my family and they were devoured in minutes. My partner prefers them straight from the oven while they are still warm or you leave them to cool don and they are lovely and chewy. Aboslutely awesome...in answer to previous comments if you follow the recipe exactly then you wont go wrong...and youll be in for a treat perfect served on there own or if your feeling naughty with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

I love this cake, always add a handful of nuts for extra taste and texture. Friends commented that it was the best Brownie they had tasted. Beware of over cooking it and making it too chewy.
