Serves 1 - 12 Muffins

muffins with very yummy chocolate chips

  • 300g self raising flour
  • 100g dark or milk chocolate (chopped into chunks)
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 200g white sugar
  • 150ml milk
  • 150ml sunflower oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • optional
  • instead of chocolate you can use
  • 100g blueberries


    1. heat the oven to 200C/gas mark 6
    2. sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into a bowl stir in sugar and chocolate chunks
    3. put milk,oil and eggs into a jug and lightly beat then add to the dry mixture and mix until combined
    4. divide between 12 muffin cases bake on bottom shelf for 25 minutes (fan ovens 15 minutes)
    5. take out and cool
