  • 5-6 leaves of white cabbage, thinly sliced into about 5cm
  • 1 red small finger chill, deseeded and chopped
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • Pinch of sea salt


    Mix all the ingredients well together!

Instead of using crushed garlic as in the recipe above, I would suggest that place 4-5 garlic cloves directly into the bottle of sesame oil as soon as you buy, and this will impart a subtler flavour to the recipe. You can try the same method for soy sauce.
