The Writer's Margarita

An Irish spin on the classic margarita with a touch of Cointreau to give it some pop


  • 1 1/2 ounces of Writers Tears Whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 1 1/2 ounces of lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Garnish: lime wedge
  • Salt (optional)


  • STEP 1
    Salt the rim of a chilled glass. Add all of the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake it so that the ingredients fall in love together, then strain into the strained glass. .
