Serves 1 - 24 Tartlets

These little jam tarts are PERFECT for snacks or with a hot cup of tea/coffee. Theyre great with your favourite jam and taste great with fresh or dried fruit. So quick, so easy, so difficult to stop nibbling on.

  • Aldi ready roll puff pastry (comes with 2 sheets of pastry)
  • Any type of jam you like (we used Aldi's 29p mixed fruit jam and some lemon curd)
  • You can add some dried/ fresh fruit if desired (eg. raisons, apricots, apples etc)


    1. Cut the sheet into even squares, and score a smaller square in the centre.
    2. In that smaller square we plopped half a teaspoon of jam
    3. Put the tarts onto grease proof paper and onto baking trays
    4. put into the oven for into the oven for about 15 -20 minutes or until risen and golden brown. (GAS MARK 6)

as usual for me the jam boiled over and burnt on the edges!

So I tried this and all my jam just boiled over leaving me with just puff pastry how do I stop this? Thanks

Perfect for making with children. Made these with my 8 year old. We cut our puff pastry sheet into 9 squares, scored the inner square, half a tsp of strawberry jam on half batch, lemon curd other half, brushed edges with milk and sprinkled with Demerara sugar for added crunch. My jam stayed put, no overspill!
