Mum's Short Bread

Mum's recipe for short bread. I remember the smell of this from the 70's, I now make it with my two!


  • 225g of plain flour
  • 85g castor sugar
  • 170g butter


  • STEP 1
    Mix flour and sugar in a bowl, then rub in the butter
  • STEP 2
    Knead well to form a smooth paste
  • STEP 3
    Roll out and then cut into fingers, or desired shape, and bake in a pre heated oven (gas 3-4/325-350f) for 20-25minutes
