  • 100g Custard Powder
  • 200g Softened Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 140g Caster Sugar
  • 100g self raising flour
  • 150g Icing sugar
  • hundards and thousands


    1. Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan and place 12 paper cases inoi a muffin tray.
    2. Beat the custard powder with the butter eggs and milk, then stir in the suagr and fold in the sifted flour. Spoon into the cases.
    3. Make for 20 mins. Leave to cool completley.
    4. Mix the icing sugar with about 3 tbsp water to form a thick paste.

Brilliant recipe, enjoyed by both kids and adults. I used a packet of Birds Instant Custard and the texture is perfect!

Followed recipe exactly. Mixture curdled and when cooked had a solid stodgy layer at bottom. Tastes nice though.

My friend made these and gave me one to try - I was quite impressed by them. Nice flavour, almost almondy, and the most gorgeous yellow colour. I'm going to make them myself soon!
