Chocolate muffins

Chocolate muffins with Nutella filling


  • 125g self raising flour
  • 125g butter
  • 125g castor sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Nutella
  • Coco power


  • STEP 1
    set the oven to 190 degrees/ 375 degrees F/ gas mark 5
  • STEP 2
    sieve the flour and baking powder
  • STEP 3
    add everything else ( beat the eggs and throw them in with the butter, sugar, coco power and vanilla essence)
  • STEP 4
    whisk until it's creamy
  • STEP 5
    does it drop off a spoon? If it drops off easily in a dollop, then it's ready
  • STEP 6
    Fill up the cases (put a teaspoon of mixture in each cases. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • STEP 7
    Take out of the oven
  • STEP 8
    cut the middle top and put some Nutella or icing cream
