  • 110g plain flour
  • 40g castor sugar
  • 50g margarine
  • 1 tbspn syrup
  • 1 tspn ginger
  • 1 tspn bicarbonate of soda


  1. Mix the butter and sugar together until its light and fluffy.

  2. Sieve the flour into the mixture.

  3. Add the syrup, ginger and bicarb.

  4. Cook for roughly 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
