• 3 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1 onion
  • Bovril cube
  • Bacon bits
  • Tin of chopped tomatoes
  • Tin of baked beans
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Mixed dried herbs
  • Rice
  • Tomato puree


  • STEP 1
    Finely chop the onion and fry along with bacon bits until translucent. Don't fry for too long, you don't want the bacon crispy. Crush the garlic and mix through, fry for a further 2 mins
  • STEP 2
    Stir in the tin of tomatoes, followed by a good tablespoon of tomato puree. Add a good sprinkle of mixed herbs and lots of black pepper. Heat through before adding the tin of baked beans
  • STEP 3
    When all the ingredients are heated through, cut cheese into small chunks and add to the pan. Once the cheese is melted, served on a bed of fragrant rice
