Simple Strawberry Shortcake

- Plus about 3-24 hours for the strawberries in the fridge.
- Serves 6
- 0.5 kg fresh strawberries, rinsed and chopped
- 0.15 kg sugar
- 0.125 kg half and half or cream
- 6 individual sized store bought shortcakes
- Whip Cream
- STEP 1Combine berries, sugar and cream. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours up to a day.
- STEP 2Spoon berries over shortcakes and top with whip cream!
