Basic light and fluffy sponge cake

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 4oz self rasing flour
  • 4oz caster sugar
  • 4oz soft margarine

Method

  • STEP 1
    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  • STEP 2
    Put in two greased sandwich tins.
  • STEP 3
    Put in the oven on gas mark 4.
  • STEP 4
    Ice with buttercream and jam
