Ingredients

  • 200g soft butter
  • 200g soft brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 300g self raising flour
  • 80g cocoa powder
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 200g chocolate chips
  • 4-5 tbsp milk

Method

  • STEP 1
    pre-heat the oven to 180c/gas mark 4
  • STEP 2
    cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
  • STEP 3
    add the vanilla extract and 2-3 tablespoons of milk and mix
  • STEP 4
    in a separate bowl, sift flour cocoa powder, and baking powder together
  • STEP 5
    gradually combine the two mixtures together and fold in the chocolate chips
  • STEP 6
    then, add the rest of the milk and scoop onto sheets of baking paper and bake for about 15 mins
