  • 200g ketchup
  • 100ml cider vinegar
  • 100g dark muscovado sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • juice ½ orange

  1. Combine the ingredients in a saucepan, then season. Bring to the boil and bubble for 3-4 mins until the sugar and salt have dissolved and the sauce is glossy. Remove from the heat, transfer to a jar, and leave to cool. Will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Delicious sauce. Very good balance of flavours. Even more delicious after a few days.

Delicious, I used it over a spatchcock chicken and it was very well received. Rather runnier than I would use for a normal BBQ sauce, but made a lovely glaze. I made quantity and a half and there is enough for another meal.

Liked this a lot! Didn’t have any Worcestershire sauce, and used dried garlic and orange juice. Will make it properly when I have everything in but it’s a great sauce and so quick. Used for ribs.
