  1. Heat the oven to 160C/ 140C fan/ gas mark 3. Core the apple and slice through the equator into very thin slices 1 - 2mm thick. Dust with cinnamon and lay flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. Cook for 45 mins – 1 hour, turning halfway through and removing any crisps that have turned brown. Continue cooking until the apples have dried out and are light golden. Cool, store in an airtight container and enjoy as a snack.

Using a spiraliser was brilliant for making sure they are all of equal thickness, but reducing the cooking time and keeping an eye is a good idea! They are delicious!

This recipe didn't work too well- the apples were cut too thinly, and did not turn crispy, only mushy and burnt very quickly.

I definitely won't bother making these again, the slices that were very thin just burnt to a crisp, and the ones that were slightly thicker just went mushy, and tasted like apple sauce!

I enjoyed making this easy, healthy snack for the family. However, I would probably cut the apples a bit thicker - personal preference - because I don't want them to go too crispy. Great recipe!

I really loved making these, but would suggest to cut the apples a bit thicker. I also didn't let them go completely crispy so they were a bit soft inside. I have a fan oven and they cooked a lot quicker than the recipe says.

Bit of a faff, but they taste alright, probably won't rush to make these again as they have a tendency to go soggy.

V tasty. Chopped the apple with the slicer attachment on the food processor which made it super quick. Sprayed baking paper with oil first.

Brilliant recipe, I used a mandolin to make sure the apple slices were really thin, didn't bother to turn them, and found they made lovely crisps. Agree re lightly oiling the baking paper. Delicious.

I can't do this, I've tried twice and they either burn or turn out gooey. Could be the apples I used they were windfall and I have no idea what type they are.

SERIOUSLY YUMMY! I agree with both suggestions of going with slightly thicker slices and oiling the parchment paper!
