  1. Heat grill to high. Put the sausages in a large roasting tin and grill for 8-10 mins until browning, then switch the oven on to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Remove the tin from the oven and add the vegetables and garlic, then drizzle over the oil and toss in the paprika and some seasoning.

  2. Roast for 30-35 mins more until the sausages and veg are mostly tender, then stir through the lentils and vinegar. Return to the oven for 5 mins until everything is heated through. Squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins and stir the garlic into the lentils, then season to taste, stir through the parsley and serve.

Very tasty I only had chicken sausages which worked perfectly. I also added a crumbled stock cube with a splash of water because I found it a little dry, this also added more flavour and helped to cook the lentils a bit more.

I love this recipe. Made a big batch for friends and they still comment on how much they enjoyed it. I fill a tray with chipolatas and a separate tray to roast the veg then mix together at the end - this makes sure it all gets roasted properly.

It would have been very nice if the recipe made clear the proportions of veg in the 'roasted veg- packs - bit disappointed with this - far too much sausage for my liking. Won't be making it again

Just use less sausage?

Very easy and tasty. I used fresh cut up veg (courgettes, peppers, red onion) which meant that that there was a little too much liquid in the tray to enable the veg to be crispy. I only had 3 sausages so added some rashers of bacon which added to the great flavours.

Very tasty and easy to make. Might add some stock at the end as it was a little dry.

A lovely recipe. It was very easy to cook and nutritious. I'm not sure if I needed to but I part cooked the lentils before adding at the end just in case they were too hard. This is set to become a family favourite.

I love this recipe. Lighter than any sausage casserole, easy to make.

Lovely. Made extra veg and lentils and have filled school and work lunch boxes with it for tomorrow, without the sausages.

Delicious. I added a generous slosh of balsamic too, as well as beetroot to my mixed veg- yum.
