Mix saké with sherry, madeira, elderflower and maple syrups to make this aperitif cocktail. Garnish with a piece of grapefruit zest for the ultimate finish

Ingredients

  • 50ml saké
  • 15ml sherry (we used Pedro Ximénez)
  • 15ml madeira
  • 1 tsp elderflower liqueur
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup

  • ice

For the garnish

  • piece of grapefruit zest

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together well in a mixing glass or jug. Then fill the glass up with ice and stir again to chill the cocktail. 

  2. Strain the mixture into a sherry or port glass. Garnish with a small piece of grapefruit zest.
