Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.

  2. Mix together 350g flour, 2 ¾ tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt in a small bowl, add 1 tbsp oil and 170ml water then stir until it forms a ball. If stiff, add more water, it should be soft but not sticky.

  3. Knead on a floured surface for 3-4 mins. Roll into 2 balls, then flatten out.

  4. Add toppings and bake each on a baking sheet for 15 mins.

I should have read the comments on this... it is quite bad. It's way too dense, and just tastes like flour. Perhaps if you did a half/quarter size of the recipe (depending on how big of a pizza you want, I only used half this dough) and rolled it really really thin it would be edible but I wouldn't waste your time trying

One of the best no yeast pizza doughs I have used. I like the short prep time and by using a pizza stone to cook it on, the crust comes out golden brown and crisp. I will definitely use it again.

I just made this dough, and it was SO bad I felt the need to make an account just to comment here and say how bad it was. I consider myself to be a fairly competent cook, and when I say the base was inedible, I mean it. Literally awful. The only thing that made it delicious was the chorizo amd mushrooms I used for toppings- which I scraped off and ate with chips instead.

We decided to try this dough for our pizza pockets after the store bought dough didn't work out. Glad we did, it was exactly what we wanted, crisps up enough to hold toppings and chewy enough to still be edible! Definitely our go to dough for pizza dishes now.
