  2. Line a baking sheet with foil. Divide the mixture into 12 and shape into mini burgers. Put onto the baking sheet, brush with oil and grill for 10 mins, turning once. Can be chilled and reheated in the microwave on High for 2 mins.

Yum, these were delicious and a hit with hubbie! Made them bigger so they took a wee bit longer to cook, but well work the wait.

Found these seriously tasteless and dull - I should have read the comments first, they definitely need something to add interest.

My boys really enjoyed making these and we added fresh mixed Mediterranean herbs for more flavour and we used turkey mince, also couldn't find mini bagels so made them big, they held together just fine as we used a burger press - more fun!

Very good. I whizzed the sweet potato and onion along with the chick peas, so there was less chance they would be spotted. They were very well received, and I was asked for seconds. I also used turkey mince. Couldn't find mini bagels anywhere, so had to use full size which made the burger a little difficult to manage.

Added ground cumin and smoked paprika. Very nice particularly with barbecue sauce.

I made them with turkey mince too and that, along with the chick peas, gave them a wonderful texture. I have a very fussy four-year-old daughter who positively wolfed them down. The only negative maybe is that for adults these may be a little bland. I might add some cumin, paprika or other spices next time just to give them a bit of a kick. Went really well with some nice herby home-made potato wedges.
