Soft, cruncy, tasty, easy to make and just delicious

  • 125g unsalted butter, softened
  • 125g self-raising flour
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp milk


    1. Preheat oven to 190C, cream together butter and sugar in a bowl
    2. Add in eggs and vanilla, beat untill all come together, if the mix splits it is okay
    3. Fold in half of the sugar with a metal spoon, once all mixed, fold in the other half of the flour with the milk
    4. Devid between 12 fairy cake cases, fill 3/4 full and bake in over for around 12 minutes or untill golden ground in top and solf to the touch, leave to cool and enjoy

Step 3 needs correcting; it should say fold in half of the flour, not half of the sugar.
