Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup olive oil,
  • 2 large garlic cloves peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 red chilli sliced
  • 1/2 kg (1lb) peeled and deveined prawns
  • chopped parsley

Method

    1. place olive oil, garlic, salt and chilli in an ovenproof casserole
    2. Place into a hot oven 200-230 oC (400-450 oF) untill the oil is very hot taking care as the garlic will burn easily
    3. Add prawns and cook for a further 5 to 7 mins just long enough for the pawns to turn pink and heat through
    4. Serve as an appetiser on cocktail sticks or in individual serving dishes
