Ingredients
- 125g butter
- 125g dark chocolate chopped
- 200g brwon sugar
- 3 eggs lightly beaten
- 50g plain flour
- 50g cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 200g light cream cheese
- 50g caster sugar
Method
- STEP 1combine butter, chocolate and brown sugar in a pan and stir over a medium heat until melted.
- STEP 2Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly then whisk in the eggs
- STEP 3Add flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir until well combined. Pour into a greased, lined rectangular tin (approx 18cm x 28cm)
- STEP 4Beat the cream cheese and caster sugar until smooth and creamy then spoon randomly over the chocolate mixture and swirl with the tip of a knife to give a marble effect.
- STEP 5bake at 180C, gas mark 4 for 35 - 40 mins or until cooked through. Allow to cool before slicing
